About The Role

We are now looking to recruit a Lecturer in Business to join our Cornwall Business School. Cornwall is home to a wide range of exciting businesses, with a vision to be a place where businesses thrive and people enjoy the outstanding quality of life. The Faculty of Business & Design shares that vision and offers a range of business degrees at UG and PG levels, delivered within Cornwall Business School.

The successful candidate will teach across several modules, drawing upon expertise in the fields of management, entrepreneurship, skills development and business. You will efficiently lead, plan and deliver your modules within the context of the subject area, supporting the course leader and ensuring a positive student experience. The post holder will act as the face of the modules you lead, both internally and externally and will play an active role in helping our students succeed, always willing to support individuals to help them achieve their full potential.

About You

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in the subject area or associated field with a strong track record of practice-led research in an area appropriate to the subject area. You must be able to demonstrate up-to-date working knowledge of current practices and research within the field and you will have a passion for, and experience of, developing innovative and inclusive pedagogy.
 
We are looking for the successful candidate to have a relevant educational and industry background and comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of multiple aspects of business and enterprise management including creative, digital and ethical practices, project management and strategy.
 
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
 
  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach in delivering content across a range of established and emerging topics.
  • Evidence of proactively monitoring changing pedagogic and international industry trends and confidently sharing this knowledge to shape curricular content, design and delivery.
  • Ability to incorporating latest developments into your teaching and learning practice.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and an excellent communicator, comfortable in delivering content in person and via digital platforms.
  • Ability to bring a constructive approach to everything that you do including team working. 
  • Experience of engaging with a vibrant research culture across the subject area. 
  • Awareness, understanding and practice of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles.
