The ideal candidate for this role will need to be proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with an eye for a story and a flair for writing features. They’ll be comfortable speaking to people: be that students, graduates, staff or our partners to get time-sensitive news stories out the door.
We are looking to hear from candidates who have recent/relevant experience of:
- Writing creative and engaging features and news articles for digital platforms.
- Experience of managing editorial content projects, such as gathering quotes, interviewing subjects or following up on story tip-offs.
- Using an excellent standard of written English to copyedit and proofread content for colleagues.
- Supporting with copy-based content production on marketing campaigns, alongside our wider Marketing team

This is a permanent, full time, 35 hours a week position across Monday-Friday, with optional hybrid working. As a team, we currently work a minimum of 2 days per week from our Penryn and Falmouth campuses, or candidates are welcome to work 5 days from campus if preferred.
Please note we are not accepting fully remote applications for this position, due to the need to work directly with students and staff on campus.
