About The Role

In support of this we are now seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer in Business and Marketing to join our Cornwall Business School to teach marketing and business related content across a range of our undergraduate courses including Business & Digital Marketing, Business Management and Business Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
 
This exciting role will be key in the development and delivery of modules that have a focus on, or include elements of, consumer psychology, branding, social media marketing creativity & innovation and wider business awareness.  You should be adaptable and feel comfortable applying practical marketing methods and techniques to a range of scenarios and contexts that relate to the wider courses that we deliver. You will work closely the Module Leaders and Course Leaders to align your approach with the course narrative.
 
This role will be ideal for someone with practical industry knowledge and experience of teaching at HE level. You will primarily be designing and delivering content for on-campus undergraduate courses, on our Penryn campus. You will be working as part of an experienced academic team and teaching a diverse cohort of students.

About You

The successful candidate for this role will have a relevant educational and industry background, possess comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of multiple aspects of marketing including ethical and sustainable practices and will have good connections with industry and professional practice.  You will have a proven track record of delivering an engaging high-quality student experience and will take an enthusiastic and flexible approach in delivering content across a range of established and emerging topics.
 
You will recognise the importance of well-developed organisational skills and be an excellent communicator on an individual and group level. You will be comfortable delivering content in person and through digital platforms and most of all you will demonstrate a genuine desire to help your students succeed and will always be willing to offer the support that the individual needs to help them achieve their full potential.
 
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
 
  • Experience of working within roles that require significant marketing expertise.
  • Experience of managing marketing related projects from initial identification to implementation.
  • Experience of teaching within a HE environment and/or training within a relevant setting.
