About The Role

In support of this we are now seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer in Cultural Studies to join its dynamic teaching team. Teaching undergraduate students in the Fashion and Textiles Institute, you will work as part of an outstanding team providing historical and cultural contexts for Costume Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Photography, Fashion Styling and Textile Design.
 
You will contribute to developing students’ critical thinking, analysis and academic writing in acclaimed programmes of lectures, seminars and tutorials.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in teaching and researching critical and contextual studies. You will have an interest in fashion and textiles as an aspect of popular culture. You will be an excellent communicator on an individual and group level and be familiar with educational software packages.
 
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience: 
 
  • Experience of teaching at HE level
  • Well-developed organisational skills.
  • Comfortable delivering content in person and through digital platforms.
  • High quality, current connections with industry and professional practice
