About The Role

Falmouth University's ambitious 2030 Strategy, ‘Doing it for Real’, is designed to deliver yet further growth in our student numbers and income through portfolio diversification, innovation, research and commercial ventures. It will establish Falmouth as the market leader for creative industries and entrepreneurship education over the next decade, capitalising on our considerable assets in innovation-led research and business incubation.

To help deliver our 2030 Strategy, we are recruiting a Production Manager to join our Digital Learning team. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation this role will be responsible for overseeing, planning and managing the development of Falmouth University’s online courses.

Falmouth’s online portfolio has grown significantly since its launch in 2016; the ambition is to continue this strong growth trajectory and ensure that Falmouth’s portfolio is positioned to reach new markets and meet evolving student needs. Digital Learning are a specialist team within the institution who work with academic departments to develop courses for blended and fully online delivery.

This position is central to the continued development, enhancement and launch of our online courses. We provide a supportive flexible work environment with opportunities for development and growth within the role and a chance to shape our future direction in this space. This role will act in a project management capacity to develop and iterate the appropriate infrastructure to meet these growth ambitions; and will be responsible for the detailed oversight of the production of each module and course, including for ongoing maintenance and enhancement.

About You

Alongside these key skills you will need outstanding organisational and communication skills, and although experience working within higher education would be advantageous, if you’ve got recent and relevant experience of production and/or project management, we can support you to apply your skills to a HE environment.

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in creating, recording and monitoring spending against agreed budgets.
  • Track record of leading or working as part of highly effective teams.
  • High level written, verbal and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial workload with conflicting high priority tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate high-pressured situations, identify problems and solutions and escalate as needed.
  • Ability to assimilate, convey and report information accurately
For further details on all the skills/experience required for this role, please see the full job description above.

We are able to offer a flexible working arrangement for this role, with fully remote offered as a potential preference and happy to discuss the arrangement at interview.  If taking up the position remotely, the successful candidate would need to be based within the UK.
