About The Role

We are seeking an Associate Lecturer to join the team in our purpose-built facility in Penryn, Cornwall.
 
The School of Film & Television is a CILECT facility, and this role is situated within BA Animation course, in addition to potentially contributing to other undergraduate and postgraduate provision. Our community of committed scholars and professionals ensure the constantly evolving courses are informed by the latest academic scholarship and the demands of a vibrant industry environment.

About You

Teaching primarily on our undergraduate courses in BA Animation, and with the potential to contribute to other courses across the school including our BA Post Production and Visual Effects and postgraduate taught courses, you will possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area, and ideally a post-graduate qualification.
 
You will primarily be working with large and diverse cohorts and assisting in the pastoral care of undergraduates, contributing to first, second year and third year modules, leading in animation history and theory/context modules. Research interests in animation history and industry, and the contexts of animation practice are essential. An interest in developing the School’s links with industry is desirable, and the recent or near completion of a PhD is desirable.

This position is offered on a hourly paid basis, working on campus.
