We are looking to recruit Online Tutors to join our BSc Business and Marketing (Online) team in the Cornwall Business School. There are four roles available:
Intelligence Brand Building. This module develops a foundation in traditional and emerging principles of brand management that is responsive to a rapidly changing marketplace. The Online Tutor for this module will be allocated 112 hours to support up to 30 students with learning, assessment and feedback, working May 2025 to September 2025.
Datalab, Decision Making and Consumer Behaviour. This module proactively addresses and explores the relationships between psychology, sociology, culture, environment and experience in shaping consumer behaviour and decision-making. The Online Tutor for this module will be allocated 208 hours to support up to 30 students with learning, assessment and feedback, working May 2025 to September 2025.
Social Action Business Plan. This module proactively addresses the understanding of Business and Marketing by collaboratively developing a social enterprise concept. The Online Tutor for this module will be allocated 112 hours to support up to 30 students with learning, assessment and feedback, working May 2025 to September 2025.
Wellbeing and Professional Development. This module proactively addresses wellbeing in industry, organisational culture and professional development. The Online Tutor for this module will be allocated 112 hours to support up to 30 students with learning, assessment and feedback, working May 2025 to September 2025.
The module content is already recorded, the online tutor leads discussions and reviews students work in weekly tutorials and webinars. Students engage with pre-recorded content that has been created by module leaders in the virtual learning environment and work through this during the week in their own time and come together to meet their online tutor for live sessions.
As the Online Tutor you will deliver live sessions such as webinars, workshops or tutorials each week to a cohort of students. Around these live sessions you will be responsible for topic discussions, and academic guidance via emails, one to ones and an online learning space. You will work closely with the course leader and module leaders to ensure best possible student experience.
The hours for this role are flexible and spread throughout the week as agreed by your line manager. The flexibility of this role means that you can fit the hours around existing responsibilities.
