With 120 years’ creative arts experience, we are on a quest to offer the highest standards of teaching and professional facilities, as well as a vibrant creative community. With over 7,000 students, our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and postgraduate research represents the breadth of the creative industries, from art, design and fashion, to games, music, film and business.
Our mission is to deliver exceptional higher education and research, harnessing the fusion of creativity and technology as foundations of the future economy. We use our knowledge and expertise in these disciplines to generate positive and sustainable opportunities for all.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fashion & Textiles Lecturer who is passionate about raising the profile and reputation of the subject, and Falmouth University locally, nationally, and globally, positioning the organisation as a future-facing, ambitious hub of creativity and innovation.
You will work with university leadership, academics, and senior colleagues to create compelling content, aligned with our 2030 strategy supporting the team maintaining a vibrant curriculum embedded at the core of the Integrated Foundation Year (IFY).
The role will include subject specific module leadership and delivery across all stages of the IFY to encourage, support and to help our foundation students to build creative confidence, study skills and autonomy. It will also involve responsibilities related to personal tutoring and taking an interest in the experience and well-being of a set group of students.
All lecturers are expected to engage in research and innovation, defining an individual research and innovation plan which is anticipated to align with one or more of our research programmes.
