About The Role

We are now looking to recruit dynamic Associate Lecturers in Interior Design and Interior Architecture to join our established and well-respected course. The course is based at the Woodlane campus, Falmouth along with a series of other creative courses surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden with close access to the beach.
 
The interiors course at Falmouth celebrates experiential design, interior atmosphere within the residential and commercial sectors. We have previously won graduate awards at the Interior Educators show and have close links with industry and we are looking for people to complement the existing team. The learning and teaching environment is blended with expertise expected in both on-campus delivery and in digital platforms.
 
The role will join other staff members in the interiors studios to help inspire and share your knowledge with students as they work on their various projects. You will be required to create content in the form of bite sized lectures and academic workshops, to organise material talks, site visits and help with the general teaching and Learning Space for the Interiors courses.

About You

You will be working in industry with a wealth of connections to industry suppliers, onsite projects to discuss and a knowledge of technical resolution, lighting and sustainable material specification. We are looking for someone with contacts to help build this area of subject specialism and add to the great materials library we have in the studio.
 
Our ideal candidates would be flexible individuals, who are open to learning new things, and support us evolve our curriculum and deliver high quality teaching. You will be supported by the Course Leader to deliver the above, as a part of a dynamic and lively team.
 
You will have working knowledge of industry relevant software (particularly Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketchup, and AutoCAD) and experience of teaching in the HE context. Knowledge of emerging AI tools, VR and AR is desirable. You will be passionate about your subject and inspire the next generation of designers.
