About The Role

With 120 years’ creative arts experience, Falmouth University are on a quest to offer the highest standards of teaching and professional facilities, as well as a vibrant creative community. With over 7,000 students, our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and postgraduate research represents the breadth of the creative industries, from art, design and fashion, to games, music, film and business.
 
In support of this we are currently seeking two enthusiastic Senior Administrators:
 
Post 1: (35 hours per week)
This role is within the Faculty of Screen, Technology & Performance supporting the Games Academy.  This post will be based on our Penryn Campus and a hybrid working style can be supported.  
 
Post 2: (21 hours per week, with scope for precise working pattern to be determined with the successful applicant). 
This role is within the Faculty of Creative Arts & Communication (encompassing Falmouth School of Art, the Institute of Photography and the School of Communication) and is based primarily at our Falmouth Campus and a hybrid working style can be supported.
 
These posts play a key role in offering administrative support to academics and students across the courses within these growing departments.

About You

The ideal candidates will have previous experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, be proficient to an advanced level in utilising Microsoft Office applications and be able to demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver according to deadlines.
 
These roles require a proactive and flexible approach and a proven ability to forward plan a workload and provision of support across a busy annual cycle.
 
The following skills/experience are required:
 
  • Experience of providing administrative support across departments and functions
  • Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment including the provision of advice and guidance
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues and external contacts
  • Proven ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner and a desire to resolve issues.
  • Experience of managing projects and organising complex events.
  • Coordination and management of committee meetings
