We are now looking to recruit an Online Tutor to join our MA Marketing & Digital Communications (Online) team in the School of Communication. This role will be aligned to the Global Media Planning module and will be supporting students in developing a strategic media plan for digital marketing campaigns.
The module’s focus is initially on the topics that impact global media planning (how brands scale their campaigns, the technology used to do this, data and digital privacy considerations, etc.) before turning to the practical skills needed to build a media plan.
Online Tutors are vital to the success and vibrancy of our online courses. They are a constant presence in the module, the first point of contact for students’ academic enquiries and supporting their learning activities.
As the Online Tutor, you will deliver live sessions such as webinars, workshops or tutorials each week to a cohort of students over the twelve structured learning weeks then moving onto assessment marking. Within the role you will be responsible for asynchronous discussions on the VLE, academic guidance via emails, one to ones and an online learning space. You will work closely with the course leader and module leaders to ensure best possible student experience.
The hours for this role are flexible and spread throughout the week as agreed by your line manager. The flexibility of this role means that you can fit the hours around existing responsibilities. The role compliments individuals who have freelance careers or other teaching commitments. Each online tutor is responsible for no more than 30 students, making this an extremely rewarding role.
