Reporting to the Accessibility Team Leader, the successful candidate will be able work flexibility and independently and have the ability to prioritise their workload in a busy environment, while being passionate about delivering excellent customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a knowledge of a range of disabilities and the types of reasonable adjustments that can effectively support disabled students in HE.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification/relevant professional experience, alongside previous knowledge of DSA and other grant funding streams available to students with disabilities. You will also have experience in advising and supporting disabled young people/adults in an education, community, health, or employment setting.
Candidates will require excellent IT and administrative skills, as a key aspect of this role is managing a demanding and complex caseload, using online systems. Candidates will also need demonstrable experience of effective intervention and signposting in crisis situations, including in a multi-disciplinary/department setting.
Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
