About The Role

We are now seeking a skilled Educational Technologist to play a key role in designing and delivering new online and blended programmes. This role is central to shaping the digital learning experience for our portfolio, ensuring it is engaging, accessible, and innovative.
 
As part of the Digital Learning team, you will work closely with academic staff to develop and implement cutting-edge digital learning solutions, blending pedagogy and technology to enhance student engagement. While you will contribute to other online learning initiatives, your primary focus will be on new portfolio, ensuring its digital learning elements align with best practices in instructional design and educational technology. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the design and development of new portfolio, collaborating with academic teams to create a high-quality, scalable digital learning experience.
  • Integrate digital pedagogy and learning technologies to enhance online and blended delivery, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
  • Develop interactive and multimedia learning resources, leveraging tools within the university’s Virtual Learning Environments (Moodle, Canvas).
  • Support academic staff in implementing innovative digital teaching and assessment strategies, providing training and guidance.
  • Ensure the program aligns with Falmouth’s strategic goals for online education, staying ahead of trends in digital learning and educational technology.

About You

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
 
  • Experience in learning design and digital education, with a strong background in instructional design, online course development, or educational technology.
  • Proficiency with learning platforms (Moodle, Canvas) and expertise in developing digital learning content and interactive resources.
  • A passion for digital innovation in education, with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working closely with academic teams, advising on curriculum alignment, accessibility, and digital assessment strategies.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital learning experience of a major new program and contribute to the future of online education at Falmouth.
 
This is a fixed term for 2 years, full-time, 35 hours a week position across Monday-Friday.
