As well as experience in working professionally with adults or young people in a supportive role, you meet the requirements stipulated in the “DfE Mandatory Criteria” for Specialist ASC Mentors (document available to download from
Mandatory Qualifications (see pp 9 to 12).
Please make it clear in your application whether you already hold the appropriate qualifications or are currently working towards them.
We are particularly interested in hearing from ASC Mentors who have worked in a university setting.
You will be a confident and competent IT user with experience of using CRMs and applications such as Microsoft Office. You will also have a good knowledge of using and incorporating Assistive Technology (AT) within the mentoring session.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to successfully undertake an Enhanced with Regulated Activity DBS check.

This post is offered on a casual hourly paid basis. We would envisage the ideal candidate being able to offer a minimum of 14hrs per week of on campus support – but would be happy to discuss this at interview with the right person.
